Lonely Road

As I walk down this lonely road,
I watch many walk pass.
All they are are memories,
Watching me as I cry.

Maybe happiness will find me,
Wandering down this lonely road,
As I kick at the autumn leaves
Scattered along the sides.

I do have some company,
Every now and then.
But almost all have chosen
A different path than I.

One day you may see me
Walking down this lonely road,
Always walking as far as I can.
That’s all I can seem to do,
Until one day…
I will make it to the end.
