NARROW PATH TO NEW JERUSALEM

(Dedicated to the pilgrims)

The road seems nebulous
fighting laboriously with a determined mind
peregrinating softly and tenderly along the slippery path
hoping for a greater reward

troubles rip the heart to pieces
they live on!
fear frightens like the roar of a dreadful lion
courage comes to comfort in the creepy path

the fearful return to Egypt
the strong-hearted continue
anger besets the weaklings as the path seems awkward
the heart is heavily loaded

many ask questions,some find contentment
in Providence's provisions along the path
happiness fills their souls
the light guides them

because they have a free and empty mind
the path looks clearer as we draw near
grace carries them on
as they remain focused and determined

pharaoh eulogizes the returnees at the junction to the gargantuan path
devours mercilessly
quenches the prolonged thirst and hunger
''Achilles' heel is enough for others''he said

at the path's end,the new Jerusalem is here
father understands their weaknesses
they sailed through through grace
pilgrimage ends,unfading glory comes.
